Spherical sculpture, 300mm diameter hand-built stoneware clay by David Pointer, Dorset.
David describes his inspiration and the construct behind the piece ‘This sculpture is inspired by the natural sand formations at low tide. The heavy cranked clay is both sanded and burnished to give a contrast in textures.’
This sculpture is high-fired stoneware clay which makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor display.
